“The Rainmaker”, a John Grisham book-based film, features a star-studded cast and follows the novel pretty well.
Matt Damon plays Rudy Baylor, a recent law school grad going after a corrupt insurance company (that’s an oxy moron) represented by a serpent-like veteran lawyer played by Jon Voight. Danny DeVito, Danny Glover, Claire Danes, and Mickey Rourke co-star. It’s not as good as the book, though that may be a result of the story being better told when written on paper than watched on film, but defiantly worth the watch…and the read.
