We release our sixth episode of ‘Hot Take,’ a weekly podcast recorded by Simon Watson of Extra Features Podcast for The Movie Buff. Hot Take will be a recurring podcast where Simon and/or members of The Movie Buff will talk about films being released that week, random movie topics, looks at award season, and more.

Simon is this week joined by Daniel Prinn, critic for The Movie Buff (as well as running his own site at Filmcraziest.com) and being a regular guest on Extra Features Podcast. The two discuss the Box Office recaps for “Sonic the Hedgehog,” “Fantasy Island,” “Downhill,” “Photograph,” “Ordinary Love,” and “Buffaloed.”

They also discuss five upcoming films and their trailers: “Emma” (based on the Jane Austen novel), “Brahms: The Boy II” (starring Katie Holmes), “Call of the Wild” (and all of its canine CGI controversy), “Greed” (starring Asa Butterfield and Isla Fisher), “Impractical Jokers: The Movie,” and “The Night Clerk” (starring Ana de Armas and Helen Hunt).

Daniel and Simon discuss movie snacks, their preferences, and the art of picking the perfect movie snack.
