One of the more unpredictable stories I’ve seen at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, Noah Dixon and Ori Segev’s “Poser” is about a woman named Lennon (Sylvie Mix), who one day decides to Google how to create a podcast.

Then, she immerses herself in the Columbus indie music scene. She interviews different bands, absorbing information from each one as she starts a collection of cassettes. She’s looking for a foot into this community; and she finds that with musician Bobbi Kitten (played by Columbus musician Bobbi Kitten of the band Damn the Witch Siren, playing an exaggerated version of herself), as they begin an intriguing friendship.

For “Poser,” I spoke with the film’s directors Noah Dixon and Ori Segev, as well as musician/actress Bobbi Kitten. (Dixon writes the film, and both Dixon and Segev edit the film.) In the conversation, Bobbi Kitten talks about playing a version of herself and the confidence of the character. Also, the directors touch on setting the film within the Columbus music scene and making Lennon a podcaster. We also talk about the singing in the film, wardrobe and folded chips, and there’s some more fun in between.
