The South By Southwest Film Festival (SXSW) announced today that it will be accepting applications from filmmakers to have their films screened at the 2023 SXSW EDU film program.

According to SXSW EDU, the film program highlights poignant narratives and documentaries focusing on all aspects of education. Films will tackle social impacts on domestic and international learning and peering into classrooms. Additionally, they will explore the journey to becoming an educator. The film program presents a compelling addition to SXSW EDU. Many screenings conclude with a Q&A featuring the filmmakers, film subjects or experts on the topic at hand, providing attendees an opportunity to connect with the film on a personal level.

The announcement added that acceptance into the 4-day film program will allow filmmakers to screen their films and participate in meaningful Q&A discussion. Applications are due by 11:59 PM, PST Friday, November 18th, 2022 for consideration for the big screen. The conference will take place from March 6-9, 2023.
